Even more unbelievable value with the new Golf Match
Volkswagen are adding even more value to the Golf range, with the launch of the new Golf Match. It's based on the current SE trim, but packs in over £1,600-worth of extras for a mere £300 over the outgoing model.
To differentiate the Golf Match from the SE, it comes with unique 16-inch Croft alloy wheels instead of the SE's Atlanta wheels, but it's not just more style that the Match offers. Additional features include:
• Leather multi-function steering wheel (worth £430)
• DAB digital radio receiver (£175)
• Bluetooth (£240)
• Parking sensors front and rear (£420)
• RCD 510 touchscreen six-CD autochanger (£380)
• 16-inch Croft alloy wheels
The built-in Bluetooth and multi-function steering wheel makes making and taking calls on the move a cinch. This is a new, factory fitted, fully integrated Bluetooth system, which makes use of the standard RCD 510 audio system's touch-screen and the multi-function steering wheel. Information will be displayed on the RCD 510's screen at the touch of a button. It has hands-free profile (HFP) compatibility, which means it has greater compatibility than the previous factory-fit system (rSAP) and works with iPhone, Blackberry, and the majority of mobile phones on the market. This Bluetooth telephone system also replaces the optional (rSAP) telephone preparation on Golf GT models and above at a price of £240.
Music lovers will enjoy the crystal-clear reception from the Golf Match's standard DAB radio and the ease of accessing their iPod's music library using the multi-device interface and touch-screen display. Of course, you can also use a USB memory stick, an SD memory card, any type of music player (via aux-in) or a CD using the built-in six-disc CD changer. The RCD 510 is the kind of sophisticated audio system that will quite literally be music to your' ears. And if you'd like to upgrade to a Dynaudio soundpack, that's now an extremely affordable £355 upgrade.
With standard front and rear parking sensors, the option of Park Assist also becomes even better value on the Golf Match, at just £80.
Even more efficiency with BlueMotion Technology
The Golf SE BlueMotion Technology is also being replaced with a Golf Match BlueMotion Technology. This comes with all the value-packed extras of the standard Golf Match, and the addition of start/stop system and recuperation (which charges the battery using energy from braking).
Not only is the Golf Match BlueMotion Technology model available with the 1.6 TDi 105ps engine, it is also now available with the new 2.0 TDi 140ps engine. With emissions of just 114g/km this is a great-value model for company car drivers and the environmentally conscious who don't want to compromise on performance. In fact, a 40 per cent tax payer could save over £1,000 in company car tax over three years thanks to this model’s 13 per cent Benefit in Kind tax rate.
Pricing
Any current orders placed will be price protected. The new Golf Match will cost just £300 over this SE price – exceptionally good value.
